Ajanta Packaging appoints new CEO

Ajanta Packaging, a multinational Indian player, has appointed Shailesh Nema, a veteran in the labels industry, as chief executive officer (CEO) with effect from March.

Nema was most recently the South Asia director for sales and marketing at UPM Raflatac. Before UPM RAflatac, he worked with Apple Steel Rule Die and Avery Dennison.

Ajanta Packaging is one of the leading label printers in India. The company has four factories of which two are in India – one each in Daman and Baddi. The international plants are in Sharjah, Middle East and Amata City, Thailand.

Chandan Khanna, managing director of Ajanta Packaging, said: ‘We are very excited to have Shailesh Nema as CEO. He shall be managing all printing plants of the company in India and abroad.’
