He has 25 years of experience in digital printing with global equipment suppliers and print service providers. He joined Xeikon in 2010 as sales director for document printing, where he was responsible for sales in Europe.

Van Baelen said: ‘We have exciting times ahead of us; as innovators in digital print, we are more than ever committed to continue bringing best-in-class solutions to our customers, while at the same time creating an exceptional environment for our suppliers, our employees and our shareholders.’

Wim Maes, Xeikon chief executive officer, added: ‘A strong marketing department is crucial for driving the ongoing growth Xeikon is working toward. We have been extremely pleased with our results to date and are determined to take our business to the next level in 2014 and beyond.

‘With his expertise in sales and marketing, knowledge of the digital printing market, and his experience with Xeikon, I’m convinced that in this new role, Patrick will be a key enabler in our achievement of these goals, while further optimizing our marketing department and strengthening our team of experts in product marketing, business & application development and marketing communications.
