Flexicon continues growth

The Fleixcon proposition includes artwork creation and color separation for flexo, gravure and offset printing, digital production of flexographic printing forms, as well as full-service concepts to ensure the quality of print images on a global level. Its customers include Procter & Gamble, Coca Cola, Danone, Nestlé and Brandt.

The German company said it has been working hard to acquire international brand owners and manufacturers to its customer list, with the slogan “Your colours worldwide” intended as a promise to that branded packaging will look exactly the same in any shop around the world, regardless of where or by whom it was printed.

Flexicon’s central production house is in Germany and it operates 10 other sites in North and Central America, Russia, Asia, the Middle East and Europe.

The company is currently experiencing double-digit growth, and said that by the end of 2013 or in 2014 at the very latest, it will pass the milestone of 27 million USD (20 million EUR) in revenues. When that happens, Flexicon will have doubled its sales in just ten years.

Flexicon has also expanded its German headquarters, with 810,508 USD (600,000 EUR) spent on bringing together two offices under one roof. This includes 60 new work stations for its graphic and media designers, and sales and customer support teams. The new 55,972 sq ft (5,200 sq m) location is sited on a 204,514 sq ft (19,000 sq m) plot, allowing Flexicon room for further expansion.

Flexicon president and chief executive officer Gabriele Kison said: ‘Our goal is the maximum efficiency possible to relieve our customers of work over the long term and generate significant savings today and tomorrow.
