IST Metz results exceed expectations in 2013

UV specialist IST Metz generated turnover in excess of 60 million EUR in 2013, surpassing its expectations for the business year.

IST Metz said it was the first time it had generated turnover of more than 60 million EUR since 2009, and praised its employees for achieving the result.

Dirk Jägers, managing director of IST Metz, said: ‘This success is one-of-a-kind and it is the employees alone we have to thank for it, for their commitment and superb performance.

‘I always knew that we were capable of achieving something extraordinary. Yet this year exceeded even our own expectations.’

As a sign of the company's appreciation for the hard work carried out by employees, all full-time staff members at the company received an iPad mini prior to Christmas.

There was an additional gift for 22 of its employees, who were thanked for their long-standing service to the company, which ranged from 10 to 30 years.

Rico Glatzer, Sven Heck, Olga Knysch, Steffen Kühefuss, Sabrina Di Martile, Helena Molitor, Steffan Pforr, Christina Preiss, Antonio Rizzo, Harald Schneider, Ilonka Schulz and Joachim Seefeldt were recognized for 10 years of service, while Jelena Dugonjic, Stefan Feil and Carmen Speidel were honoured for 20 years of service.

Others recognized were Heinz Schmohl, Sonja Schober, Gerhard Weber and Silvia Zuckrigl, who have been with the company for 25 years, while Rudi Ensle was praised for three decades of service.

Lars Schwencke was also recognised for his 10 years of service with subsidiary eta plus electronic and at gerhard metz metallbau, another subsidiary, Ralf Fritzsche was honoured for 20 years of service.

There was also a special mention for Helmut Böhm and Rolf Singer. Böhm stepped down from the IST Metz executive board and took over the management of company subsidiary gerhard metz metallbau at the start of the year. Singer has recently retired from the role of commercial manager after 22 years in the post, although remains as managing director of S1 Optics.

‘The success of a company like ours depends on people like you and the experience you have to offer,’ concluded Jägers.
