The ‘Building a brand’s desirability through creative design’ session is part of the International Brand Summit Theatre at Packaging Innovations, taking place on February 26-27 at the NEC, Birmingham.

Kellock takes to the stage at 13:30 on the first day of the show, and will present a case study on how original and unique designs sell products and help build a brand’s reputation and desirability.

Kellock will sit alongside Simon Pendry, creative director of brand design agency Blue Marlin, and Sion Edwards, founding partner of Warner Edwards Distillery, to explain how a successful brand platform was created via packaging for Warner Edwards, a UK start-up gin company.

Label Apeel is also exhibiting at Packaging Innovations 2014, where its stand will have the theme of ‘the science behind the label’.

Alan Bonsor, operational manager at Label Apeel, will be on hand to discuss technical queries. Bonsor has over 30 years of experience in the industry and heads up Label Apeel’s research and development team.

‘The science focus lets us showcase exactly how we work,’ said Kellock. ‘We start by thinking what makes a great label and then look at how we can make it better. It’s simple science.

‘Start with a hypothesis, experiment with techniques and then reach a winning conclusion. If customers come to us with a problem we like to prove the impossible is possible and produce the most effective and creative labels.’
