Mitsubishi HiTec Paper is to increase prices across its product range by seven percent as of May 1

Mitsubishi HiTec Paper Europe said the increase is due to the ‘remarkable and steady rise in raw material costs’, in particular for pulp and chemicals.

Mitsubishi HiTec Paper Europe is a German subsidiary of Japan's Mitsubishi Paper Mills, a manufacturer of speciality paper. Mitsubishi HiTec Paper Europe produce thermal papers, digital imaging papers, carbonless papers and label papers at two locations in Germany (Bielefeld and Flensburg).

The price increase will be effective for deliveries from May 1.

Brigl & Bergmeister has also recently announced a price increase, by up to eight percent from April 1, owing to what it has described as ‘a drastic increase in raw material costs compared to last year’.
