Omet to bring 50th anniversary to a close

Italian printing machinery manufacturer Omet has reported leads up by as much as 40 percent at Labelexpo Europe 2013 compared to the previous show as it concludes its 50th anniversary celebrations.

Omet said it booked a ‘remarkable number of orders’ at Labelexpo Europe 2013, with buyers purchasing both hybrid flexo and offset presses, such as the XFlex X6 offset and Varyflex V2 with offset groups, or full flexo machines like the XFlex X4.

These three presses were on display at the Omet stand, with the XFlex X6 printing both a label for beverage brand Campari and flexible packaging for Ferrero snacks.

Overall, Omet said the leads it gathered at Labelexpo Europe 2013 were up by 30-40 percent, depending on geographic location, while it also has a wealth of quotations to fulfill after the show.

Omet has reported this success at the end of its 50th anniversary year, which has included a presence at Converflex and a three-day VIP event in Italy (pictured, top). In a statement issued post-Labelexpo, the company said: ‘No way the year of the 50th anniversary could have a better end on the international stage.’

The company’s 50th anniversary celebrations will now conclude with a series of internal events dedicated to Omet’s partners.
