Pixartprinting’s label investment paying off

Pixartprinting has expanded its label portfolio after reporting growing interest and rapid success since launching a dedicated label printing operation in 2012.

Pixartprinting’s label printing activities include small window stickers, writable labels, pressure-sensitive labels and stickers for promotional activities

Its new-look portfolio includes additional materials, personalized labels, and white and silver print, in a move to fulfill its customer-focused strategy and provide an enhanced product line-up suited to automated industrial labeling applications.

Labels produced by Pixartprinting are targeted at small and medium sized companies that have their own manufacturing departments and operate in different segments, including food and beverage. As a result, Pixartprinting said it is essential for them to order labels that are compatible with the technology they use in order to allow them to be processed in existing production chains.

Pixartprinting said its latest developments have been designed to fulfill this need for highly customized products, while upholding the qualities that have dictated the success of its label operation to date: quality, six-color printing (CMYK + orange and green), the option of different materials and short delivery times.

Alessandro Tenderini, Pixartprinting managing director, said: ‘In 2012 we inaugurated a dedicated printing department for labels, also for small batches or limited editions.

‘Since then, we have registered growing interest, to the extent that the labeling market has become one of our most important segments, having invoiced four million EUR in 2013.’

Pixartprinting’s label printing activities include small window stickers, writable labels, pressure-sensitive labels and stickers for promotional activities, utilizing coated, non-coated and natural adhesive paper, to acrylic stickers, including deluxe polypropylene, silver and transparent, the latter also available with white print. Its products are available in different shapes and sizes, with the ability to customize and personalize each run.

To facilitate this, Pixartprinting has invested in two roll-fed Epson SurePress L-4033A digital label presses, one equipped with white ink, as well as an SEI Laser automatic cutting system.

Tenderini said: ‘The Epson system is a latest generation inkjet solution; its productivity reaches 5m/min to facilitate both prototyping and the production of small batches of highly personalized labels, enabling a remarkable reduction of costs and delivery times.

‘The result is the production of quality labels, also in limited print runs, on a broad range of print media with scratch-proof performance and very competitive prices.’
