Sonic Solutions has reported strong sales in the fourth quarter of 2014, which it said have been fueled by increased market awareness of its Phoenix Series line of ultrasonic anilox cleaning systems

The Phoenix Series is a fully customizable anilox cleaning system, now able to accommodate rolls of any size, from three inches to 10ft, and from one roll to eight rolls at a time.

New features of Sonic Solutions’ Phoenix Series include a safer level of ultrasonics – 68kHz – which allows smaller bubbles to get into the smaller cells of today’s higher line count anilox rolls, as well as modifications to the power generators to position them externally, interchangeable and easily replaceable. Safety has also been addressed through fixed thermostat settings and a low-level automatic shut-off feature.

These enhancements to Sonic Solutions’ Phoenix Series have been made based on customer feedback, and the anilox cleaning system has been refined and tailored to meet the evolving needs of the flexo industry.

Sonic Solutions president Joe Walczak said: ‘Sales are up almost 25 percent compared to previous quarters, and a lot of our new business is due to our enhanced Phoenix Series – and the industry has taken note.

‘Labelexpo Americas 2014 in September was a tremendous show for us, and since then we’ve really kept up the momentum.’
