The material manufacturer was founded through an initiative to bring together various paper mills in Capellades, the oldest of which dates back to 1714, and over the centuries has evolved into a producer of various fiber-based substrates, including wine label papers.

Vilaseca now operates two production plants in Capellades, one in Vallbona d' Anoia and has headquarters Barcelona. Vilaseca has an annual production capacity of 63,000 tons per year.

In the past 50 years J.Vilaseca has transformed its business model from manufacturing security and writing papers to producing all kinds of high-end papers, including specialty papers and industrial base papers, wine labels, security papers, printing and writing papers, poster papers, embossed and pearly papers and recycled papers.

A culture of investment has facilitated modernization parallel with technological developments.
