The C1 for offset
The C1 tester is meant for testing and checking offset inks. The electrically driven tester operates with a set printing speed and an adjustable printing force. The C1 is often used for making colour strips with an accurately adjustable ink layer. The tester, therefore, is mainly meant for harmonising colours, the so-called colour matching, with computer-controlled colour measuring and mixing systems. It can further be used for the visual assessment of colours, recording of tolerances on densities and for determining a large number of other properties of offset ink.
