Alwan launches ISO 12647 compliance software at Ipex
Alwan Color Expertise, a supplier of color management and standardization technologies, is launching a suite of products at Ipex that are designed to integrate multiple workflows to ensure conformity to ISO 12647 standards. The suite includes software that has enabled more than 50 companies worldwide to obtain PSO/ISO 12647 certification.
‘For years, printers have been looking for solutions to help them stabilize their production processes and meet ISO 12647-2 requirements,’ said Elie Khoury, Alwan’s president. ‘But this can be a daunting process. With print buyers increasingly demanding consistent proof of ISO 12647 compliance, it is critical for printers to step up their efforts to gain certification and demonstrate compliance on a daily basis. Alwan has developed these solutions in to allow printers to more easily gain certification and operate under those requirements with little effort or external assistance.’
Khoury points out that all checks, corrections and process assessments performed on files or on press using Alwan software are documented in compliance reports which conform to ISO 9000 quality management requirements.
Alwan will be exhibiting its suite of ISO 12647 solutions in hall 11, stand E234, at Ipex 2010. The suite consists of four independent software modules that can be used either separately or in conjunction with each other to ensure total ISO 12647 compliance throughout production:
- PDF production with PDF Standardizer 2.0
- Color separations and Ink Reduction with CMYK Optimizer 3.8
- Press and Printer Calibration: Print Standardizer 2.0
- Proof and Print Production Certification: Print Verifier 1.0
‘By bringing together these four modules,’ said Khoury. ‘Alwan has again demonstrated its deep color expertise and dedication to bringing the delivery of ISO compliant color within easy reach for any printing operation. We are excited to welcome visitors to our stand at Ipex to see this unique suite in action.’
