Jorge Martinez, president of Grupo Etimex, was named as vice president, while Heriberto Sánchez, director of Etifilms, will continue as treasurer for another term.

Before welcoming Gerardo González as the new president, José Alfonso Rubio outlined the association’s achievements during the past two years. Some 105 scholarships were awarded to students on ACOBAN’s graphic arts program at the José Antonio Padilla Segura campus in the National College of Technical Education (CONALEP). The association participated in various industry events, including Expográfica Guadalajara 2013, the TLMI annual meeting in 2013, Mexigrafika 2014 and Industrial Print Expo 2015. In 2014, ACOBAN was an association partner of Labelexpo Americas in Chicago and was present with a booth. During Labelexpo, ACOBAN launched its iOS-platform app, which is directed at the flexo industry in Mexico.

In January of this year, ACOBAN hosted a two-day flexo seminar, with 85 representatives from Mexican label converters in attendance. The association continues to welcome new converter and supplier members and to organize lunches, parties and one-on-one networking events.
