Actega Terra appoints new managing director

Josten moves over from his current position as managing director of Actega Colorchemie, which was acquired by Siegwerk earlier this year. After a transition period during which he will hand over his activities at Actega Colorchemie, Josten will take up his new role as of July 1. He will head up Actega Terra together with Jörg Eck, chairman of the company's management board. Eck will remain responsible for sales and marketing, and keep his role as global segment head for paper-based packaging.

Josten studied chemistry at Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms University Bonn, where he completed his studies with his doctorate in 1994. He started his career with Tego Chemie Service as lab manager. After five years he transitioned to Siegwerk Druckfarben, lastly as head of research and development for web offset printing inks. Before joining Actega in 2013 Josten was a member of the managing board of Epple Druckfarben from 2008 to 2012, responsible for purchasing, production and coloration.

Actega Terra specializes in overprint varnishes, and its coatings are used to protect and finish a variety of printed products such as folded boxes, labels and commercial prints, as well as flexible packaging. Actega Terra belongs to Altana’s Actega Coatings & Sealants division.
