Asahi Photoproducts appoints UK branch manager

Chant (pictured, left) brings 28 years of experience having worked in the label, flexible packaging and reprographic sectors at senior manager and director levels. This included a four-year stint as UK territory manager for MacDermid Printing Solutions. Chant previously worked for Asahi Photoproducts in a technical sales support role and now rejoins the company with responsibility for the entire UK business. He has rejoined the business at a time when Asahi Photoproducts is experiencing growth and expansion within the UK flexographic market, and said: ‘I am delighted to be back with the company at such an exciting time. It is clear that recent appointments to the UK-based technical support team have really strengthened the business unit and have played a major role in recent growth and success.

‘The Aqua (Asahi Quality Universal Assurance) service is a clear differentiator, and combined with market leading products, places Asahi in a very strong position for future success. I am looking forward to further developing our relationships with both new and existing clients.’

The Aqua service was launched in 2014 and is a critical element of Asahi’s technical support offering. Asahi technical support staff works on-site in close cooperation with printers to collect valuable print characteristic data through quality audits, so ensuring optimum plate performance and stability as well as effective maintenance of equipment.
