Avery appoints procurement VP for Europe

Michiel Gerretzen has been appointed to the newly-created post of vice president, procurement, for Avery Dennison in Europe. In this function, he will be responsible for managing the procurement of direct and indirect materials, goods and services for the Avery Dennison materials group, as well as serve as a member of the corporate global procurement leadership team.

He has held increasingly responsible roles in the company’s materials businesses, and was recognized with an Avery Dennison Leadership Excellence Award in 2009. With previous experience at Philips Electronics, Gerretzen has more than two decades of experience in supply chain management and sourcing.    

Based at Avery Dennison corporate headquarters in Leiden, The Netherlands, Gerretzen holds an MSc degree from Eindhoven University of Technology, is a certified change manager, experienced quality auditor, and speaks several European languages.
