Edale makes double sales appointment as Bernhard Grob retires

Edale has appointed two new managers to strengthen its sales team, following the retirement of export sales director Bernhard Grob.

Darren Pickford will continue to build on Edale’s success in export sales alongside strengthening the company’s worldwide agent and distributor network

Darren Pickford has joined Edale as sales manager, and will continue to build on Edale’s success in export sales alongside strengthening the company’s worldwide agent and distributor network. Pickford has previously worked for Bobst and Nordmeccanica. He is joined at Edale by Simon Cosh, who has taken up the role of UK sales manager.

These sales appointments come as Bernhard Grob has retired from Edale. Grob was the longest serving employee at Edale having joined the company in 1987 as European sales manager, rising to the role of managing director. After stepping down from the post in 2000, Grob took up the role of export sales director to focus on growing Edale overseas. Following his retirement, Grob is to remain active as a consultant within the narrow web industry.

‘I would like to take this opportunity to say goodbye and thank you to the many people I have met and friends I have made all over the world during my career,’ commented Grob. ‘A particular thank you to Grahame Barker, the owner of Edale, with whom I have shared many successful years and I wish him and his team every success. I will continue to be active within the industry, passing on my experience and sharing knowledge.’
