Posted in Appointments on July 23, 2010

Anthony Murphy has been appointed commercial director and general manager of Flint Group Packaging and Narrow Web, Middle East. The appointment follows the company’s recent acquisition of Dubai-based Torda, whose manufacturing and laboratory facilities have been integrated into Flint’s production network.

‘We intend to capitalize on the Torda facility and local knowledge to significantly expand our presence in the region,’ said Anthony Murphy. He has extensive experience in the ink business having worked with Flint Group and its predecessor companies in Saudi Arabia, Dubai and the rest of the Middle East.

Murphy continued: ‘We will use the combined set up and capabilities of Torda and Flint Group in the Middle East to offer our customers a strong product portfolio and a strengthened local service out of one hand. With the new set up we will be able to serve both local customers but also the Middle East sites of international packaging and label printing groups in a more effective way.’
