Flint Group appoints new advisory board

Flint Group has appointed a new advisory board to oversee and support the work of its executive management team following its recent change of ownership.

Joining the advisory board as executive director is David W. Scheible, currently chairman and chief executive officer of Graphic Packaging

Pierre-Marie De Leener, currently chairman of the Braas Monier Building Group and a director of Trinseo, has joined Flint Group and will lead the new advisory board as chairman and successor to Charles Knott.

De Leener has substantial board level experience at both private equity and public companies having previously worked for PPG Industries and SigmaKalon in the coatings, specialty materials and glass sector.

Also joining the advisory board as executive director is David W. Scheible (pictured), currently chairman and chief executive officer (CEO) of Graphic Packaging, a US company manufacturing and marketing folding cartons for food, beverage and consumer applications around the world. Scheible was also vice-president and general manager of Avery Dennison’s Specialty Tape and Automotive division.

The merchant banking division of Goldman Sachs and Koch Equity Development acquired Flint Group last year from funds managed by CVC Capital Partners.

Antoine Fady, Flint Group CEO, and Steve Dryden, Flint Group chief financial officer, will join shareholder representatives to complete the membership of the advisory board.

Fady said: ‘This board will provide Flint Group with strong industry and financial capability and experience, which together with our new shareholders full support, puts us in a great position to deliver our strategy.’
