Flint Group appoints technical director for EMEA flexible packaging

Dr Steenwinkel will join Flint Group on May 1 from Avery Dennison, where he is currently R&D director for Europe and member of its European leadership team. With a strong background in organic and inorganic chemistry and with his key area of expertise in polymer chemistry related to inks, coatings and adhesives, he brings a passion for success and team collaboration to this position.

Commenting on the new member of her leadership team, VP of sales and global strategy for the flexible packaging business, Dagmar Schmidt said: ‘Dr Steenwinkel will be responsible for the technical management team in Europe; a key role that will drive our ambitious product development and technical service excellence strategy. Dr Steenwinkel is extremely well qualified to support these goals and we are delighted that he is joining us.’

Dr Steenwinkel is a Dutch national and a graduate of the University of Leiden where he earned an MSc in organic chemistry, and the University of Utrecht where he earned his doctorate in organometallic chemistry and catalysis.
