Grafotronic Inc. has appointed Mike Bacon as its new director of sales for the North American market.
Bacon brings to Grafotronic more than 17 years of experience in the sales and marketing of label converting equipment. As the former vice president of sales and marketing for Spartanics, Bacon introduced laser die-cutting technology to the label market through sales efforts, speaking engagements and marketing activities. Using a consultative approach to converting equipment sales, he plans to ramp up and expand Grafotronic’s market presence immediately.
Mattias Malmqvist, vice president of sales and marketing at Grafotronic, commented: ‘This is a key appointment for Grafotronic Inc. and Mike’s extensive experience in the label industry will help us to strengthen our presence in the US.’
Following the growth of laser die-cutting in the label converting industry, Bacon was looking for a new challenge, and he found one with Grafotronic. ‘When I met the management team at Grafotronic in Sweden and toured its new manufacturing facility in Poland, it was clear that there was something special about this company.
