hubergroup has confirmed changes in its management, with Taner Bicer now heading up its technology division.

Taner Bicer is now heading up hubergroup's technology division

Bicer has been in charge of technology management for UV inks and coatings at hubergroup since 2014. Bicer is a chemical engineer with 17 years of experience in the coatings and ink industry. He has also appointed to the management board of MHM Holding GmbH.

Further, Heiner Klokkers has taken over as chairman of the company’s management board. His core task will be the strategic development of the company into new markets or new segments within and outside the printing ink industry.

Dr Dirk Aulbert, who has been working for hubergroup since April 2017, is now responsible for Klokkers’ previous position as head of the company’s Europe business unit. He joined hubergroup from Flint Group.

Bicer and Klokkers taken on their new roles from Ursula Borgmann, who handed over her responsibilities to her successors at the beginning of 2018 after more than 30 years in a leadership position. Throughout 2018, she will continue to be available in an advisory capacity before retiring.

Borgmann said: ‘Taner Bicer has a broad knowledge of chemistry and a comprehensive understanding of basic chemical development, ink formulation, production and application, which he has demonstrated with great success in recent years.’

Klaus Greger, chairman of the hubergroup advisory board, added: ‘Heiner Klokkers knows the strengths of hubergroup and the market for printing inks like no one else. The owners and the advisory board therefore place their trust in him to strategically position the hubergroup as a long-term oriented family-owned company for the next decade and to design the necessary measures to meet future challenges.

‘We are pleased to have gained in Dirk Aulbert an experienced manager for Europe. With his market knowledge and management experience, he is the guarantor for strengthening our business in Europe and positioning it sustainably in the strategically important target segments for us.’

In addition, Derek McFarland is to take over responsibility for the business in South America from Klokkers, giving him responsibility for the whole of the Americas regional business unit.

Ashwani Bhardwaj, head of the Asia-Pacific regional business unit, and Michael Geiger, hubergroup chief financial officer, will continue their current responsibilities as members of the management board.
