The International Authentication Association (IAA) has made two appointments after electing new board members at its recent AGM. The IAA, which provides a voice for the authentication community, has added Richard Burhouse and Mark McGlade to its board.

Both new members are from the UK with Burhouse representing Payne Security, a provider of brand protection, document authentication and ID solutions, and McGlade from Ingenia Technology, a specialist in the authentication and verification of product packaging, papers, plastics and metals.

The seven-strong board will again be led by chair David Howard, pictured, director of product protection for the Global Brand Integrity Group of Johnson & Johnson, who will continue in the role he has performed over the last 12 months.

The IAA was formed in 2007 and brings together 20 of the world’s leading suppliers and users of authentication technologies. Its aim is to promote the use and benefits of authentication as part of a comprehensive anti-counterfeiting and piracy strategy – protecting products, documents and their users from the threat of fraud.
