Iain Moxon takes on technical role in Europe and beyond at MPL

MPL, a division of UK-based M Partners, has appointed Mitsubishi press technical expert Iain Moxon as European technical service manager.

Moxon brings two decades of technical experience of working with Mitsubishi presses to the position, having served as technical manager at Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Europe

M Partners is the UK distributor for Ryobi MHI B1 sheet-fed offset litho presses, while MPL manages European distributors of the products along with the recently announced UK-based European parts center for Mitsubishi/Ryobi MHI sheet-fed equipment.

He brings two decades of technical experience of working with Mitsubishi presses to the position, having served as technical manager at Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Europe. As MPL's European technical service manager he will supervise the installation of Ryobi MHI presses across the continent, with his role extending into Middle East and African countries when required. He also has responsibility for the technical training of all dealers.

‘It is a great pleasure to be able to work with MPL and Mitsubishi presses throughput Europe,’ said  Moxon. ‘They are well designed and expertly built machines. It is great to see the reaction of printers throughout the continent to the excellence provided by Ryobi MHI products. Personally, having worked with this equipment for over 20 years, I am delighted that, thanks to the marketing focus of MPL, word is now getting around the printing industry about how wonderfully reliable and capable these machines are; it’s been like working with the best kept secret in the industry for far too long.’

Moxon has been involved in installations of Ryobi MHI B1 presses in Saudi Arabia and, most recently, in Belgium, where a V3000TP 8-color 4/4 B1 machine has been installed at a printer close to Antwerp.

Mark Stribley, joint managing director at MPL, said: ‘Iain’s technical knowledge and expertise with regard to Mitsubishi B1 presses is second to none. As we grow the market for these products in both UK and Europe his technical know-how will be invaluable.

‘Although initially managing machine installations, Iain will also be furthering the training of local engineers who will take on the responsibility for regular maintenance of the presses.’
