Following on from the appointment of Jean-Louis Pecarelo of Atypic France as sales agent back in 2015, Mark Andy is now boosting its service team in the country. Arnaud Valentin, who has been responsible for France and Benelux, will now be joined by Arlindo Cid, based in Lisbon, with a brief to cover principally France and also Iberia for service and spare parts on both digital and flexo lines.

Sam Adams, European service director at Mark Andy, said: ‘Mark Andy has enjoyed a major surge in demand for its technology across Europe in the past three years, and this includes the large and strategically important French market. With an extensive portfolio of flexo and digital presses on offer, it is vital that existing and potential customers have confidence in our ability to support them in the businesses.’

Pecarelo added: ‘The Mark Andy brand has an increasingly strong image in France, but some companies are wary of investing because its presses are manufactured in the US. With the new continental Europe headquarters in Warsaw that houses a fully equipped showroom and demonstration facility, and similar set-up in the UK that also houses a comprehensive supply of parts, this latest commitment to additional service support completes the circle.’

Tom Cavalco, European managing director at Mark Andy, concluded: ‘The French market has huge potential for Mark Andy technology because we offer the most comprehensive range of presses to meet today’s changing market conditions. But however good their technology, all manufacturers need a top class aftersales service, and the addition of Arlindo to our team is a sign of our commitment to our customers.’
