New appointments to AIPIA board help association explore fresh opportunities

AIPIA, the Active & Intelligent Packaging Industry Association, has made two appointments to its advisory board, which, according to executive director Eef de Ferrante, will help the association to explore fresh opportunities in the US as well as cement close links with brand owners.

Fernando Gomez who works in strategic materials capability at Unilever

Larry Logan, senior marketing and brand executive at US-based Digimarc, has joined to help the association develop more of a presence in the US. Digimarc is an innovator and provider of enabling technologies that create digital identities for all forms of media and many everyday objects, including packaging. At the 2016 AIPIA Congress, Logan gave one of the keynote addresses on winning customer loyalty through digitally empowered packaging.

The second appointment sees Matthew Daniels, from Unilever, replaced by his colleague Fernando Gomez, who works in the field of strategic materials capability.

‘Matthew has been a strong supporter of the association and given us many useful insights into the brand owners’ perspective on active and intelligent packaging,’ said de Ferrante. ‘We look forward to continuing and developing that strong relationship with Fernando.’
