Printronix Auto ID makes strategic appointment to expand global business

Printronix Auto ID, a global industrial printing technology provider, has appointed Neil Baker as its new sales manager for the UK, Ireland, Benelux and South African regions.

Prior to joining Printronix Auto ID, Baker was sales manager for the specialties division of Lecta

He will focus on strengthening partner relationships and expanding sales of the company’s thermal and RFID devices and validation technology. Baker’s extensive knowledge of labeling, printing, auto ID and packaging, combined with his international experience of both reseller and direct B2B sales, make him ideally suited for this important role, according to Printronix Auto ID.

‘Our thermal printers are performing mission critical roles in many sectors including manufacturing, retail, transport and logistics,’ said Amine Soubai, director, EMEA, Printronix Auto ID.

‘We’re keen to communicate their capabilities to a wider customer base. Neil has the perfect skills for the role; considerable sector experience, highly accomplished in setting and achieving P&L targets, and a demonstrable record of driving and managing sustainable relationships with both customers and suppliers.’

Prior to joining Printronix Auto ID, Baker was sales manager for the specialties division of Lecta, a European manufacturer of paper for labels, packaging and printing. His remit was to develop new markets for recently introduced self-adhesive pressure-sensitive materials and enhance the potential for more of the company’s non-core PE/PP/filmic products. In his first year alone, he exceeded budget by 33 percent and doubled the customer base. Prior to Lecta, he worked for Lamican Packaging Products (a division of Asia Pulp and Paper), and Reflex Labels.

‘I’ve worked in the printing, labeling and consumables sector for over 20 years so have first-hand experience of the revolution that’s going on in not just materials but also products and processes in front and back offices all over the world,’ explained Baker. ‘I’m very excited to be joining Printronix Auto ID, and expanding its global position as a leading provider of thermal print technology and validation solutions. It’s a business that is setting new standards in logistics, trading and industrial production.’
