RotoMetrics appoints European managing director
RotoMetrics has appointed Dr Peter Emerson as managing director, RotoMetrics Europe. Dr Emerson will report to the company’s president and chief executive officer, Robert Spiller, and will have responsibility for all aspects of the firm’s European operations.
‘Peter Emerson comes to RotoMetrics with a deep European business leadership background,’ said Robert Spiller, RotoMetrics president and CEO.
Dr Emerson was most recently managing director of Doncasters Centrifugal Castings, a manufacturer of engineered components. Prior to that, he held the role of chief operating officer for Fosroc, a worldwide construction chemicals manufacturer. Dr Emerson’s prior experience in the tag and label industry includes serving as managing director of base materials producer Smith & McLaurin, as well as senior research and technology roles with Avery Dennison's UK base materials division.
He earned a PhD in physical and organic chemistry from the University of Wales. He will take up his new position on June 11, 2012 and will be based at the company’s Aldridge, UK site.
