Sappi North America fills out new Packaging Group

Sappi North America has appointed four members to its newly formed Packaging Group, including Mark Odgers as commercial director.

Odgers’ new title is director of import and packaging business, and he will continue to report to Jennifer Miller, executive vice-president of the coated business and chief sustainability officer

Sappi North America Packaging Group members include: Mark Odgers, who has been named commercial director of the group; Wayne Nablo, who has rejoined Sappi as sales manager for speciality products in North America; Scott Marquis, who has joined Sappi as sales manager of the Packaging Group; Tom Glas, who has also joined Sappi as a sales manager of the Packaging Group

Odgers’ new title is director of import and packaging business, and he will continue to report to Jennifer Miller, executive vice-president of the coated business and chief sustainability officer.

He joined Sappi in 2009 following its acquisition of M-real and since that time has held the position of marketing director for import brands.

He has more than 30 years of experience in the graphics, specialty and packaging industries, starting his career in the UK before moving to Canada and later to the US.

Nablo has rejoined Sappi having left the company in 2004. He originally joined the company in its S D Warren days in July 1986, progressing through various sales management roles in printing, release and technical papers, culminating in his final role as sales director in the Americas for release papers from Sappi Westbrook Mill. He left Sappi in 2004 to pursue other career options in the US paper industry including Fraser Papers, Wedlock Paper Converters and Gorham Paper and Tissue.

As sales manager for speciality products in North America, Nablo will be responsible for strengthening Sappi’s extended specialities sales network into Canada and the US. He will report to Richard Moyle, UK and overseas sales manager.

As Sappi North America Packaging Group sales manager, both Marquis and Glas will report to Mark Odgers.
