Tekni-Plex makes new appointment

Tekni-Plex has announced Joseph Horn as the new senior vice president and general manager of itsTekni-Films global business unit.

Horn brings to the company more than 30 years of business development experience. He will report to Paul Young, chief executive officer of Tekni-Plex and will head the company’s Tekni-Films operations in Erembodegem, Belgium; Tradate and Gallarate, Italy; Holland, Ohio, United States, and Buenos Aires, Argentina. 

‘Our film operations are focused on the introduction of innovative new materials for the medical and pharmaceutical markets. Joe’s successful track record in growing global businesses makes him ideally suited to head our Tekni-Films business unit. In the past, he has spearheaded strategic initiatives that have resulted in significant sales and profit growth. He is also an innovative marketer who knows how to deliver new products that provide marketplace solutions,’ said Young.

Prior to joining Tekni-Plex, Horn was head of global helium and rare gases for The Linde Group. He and his team were successful in driving significant growth, both organically and through joint ventures. Horn has spent most of his career in various positions with industrial gas businesses, including the BOC Group and air products and chemicals.
