Leicester, UK-based converter Label Apeel has appointed Derek Wainwright, pictured, as sales executive and Claire Gibbons as customer services manager. The company says that growth in the beer, wine and spirit (BWS) sector has necessitated the additions.

Wainwright’s role will include obtaining new business as well as expanding the burgeoning BWS side of the company. With many years of experience in the sector, he joins from Darley’s, where he was European sales manager. Before that he was operations manager at Carlsberg.

In her new role, Claire Gibbons will take on the day-to-day management of the customer service team. She joins from Culina Logistics, where she was assistant transport manager.

Managing director of Label Apeel Stuart Kellock said: ‘Every growing team needs the best people and we think we’ve got two of the best here. Derek joins us because of our growth in the BWS sector where he has over 30 years experience, while we recognized early on that Claire will be an asset because of her disciplined approach to work and her proven managerial skills. We’re sure both Derek and Claire will be the perfect fit for Label Apeel.’
