UPM Raflatac appoints country manager in South Asia

Varshney brings with himself an extensive work experience of nearly two decades in the business-to-business printing industry. He has managed the sales and technical support of printing consumables such as printing inks, plates, chemicals, pressure sensitive label stock, etc with leading brands in India.

His previous experience includes working for TechNova, United Ink & Varnish and Rainbow Ink & Varnish.

Varshney has worked with UPM Raflatac for six years, most recently as senior sales manager for North India.

In the new role, he will be responsible for business management in India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, and Bhutan. He will be based in New Delhi and report to Erkki Hogel, UPM Raflatac area sales director, who is based in Tampere, Finland.

Varshney said: ‘South Asia has a big potential to grow as far as label industry is concerned which is why UPM Raflatac has to target this market in a big way.’
