APR appointed as reseller for new Epson proofing printer
All Printing Resources (APR) has been designated by Epson
Richard Black, APR director digital solutions, said: ‘With the WT7900, any converter or packaging operation can access high-end digital proofing technology at a fraction of the cost of traditional halftone systems required to proof white ink.’
The WT7900 features new UltraChrome HDR aqueous-based white ink technology which uses hollow resin particles that allow light to randomly scatter and create the illusion of white.
‘There have been some real technical challenges through the years in accurately reproducing whites with an aqueous based inkjet printer,’ continued Black. ‘Epson has finally figured out how to do it. That's no small feat and pretty impressive technology, especially when you consider how affordable they've made it.’
APR also offers software designed for the Epson WT7900. The package includes the Epson WT7900 with EFI Colorproof XF proofing software.
‘We're very happy to be working with APR to spread the word about the Epson Stylus Pro WT7900,’ said Colin Treacy, Epson Professional Imaging. ‘APR has an outstanding reputation as a leader in the flexographic market. The WT7900 was developed to provide an all-new contract-quality proofing system for the unique requirements of flexographic printing, so partnering with APR makes perfect sense.’
