Baker to offer over-laminating option from 3M
Baker Self Adhesive Materials has added 3M’s Emtech textured vinyl to its range of over-laminates for label printing. The material is a flexible and conformable clear vinyl stock that offers both durability and moisture resistance.
Offered as a cost-effective option to Velvet Lexan, the Emtech product is a decorative overlaminate suitable for the production of labels intended for indoor use on durable goods such as power tools, equipment and machinery. A high clarity permanent adhesive is used to provide good initial tack, optimized die-cutting properties, minimal cold flow and good UV resistance.
Emtech is suitable for high speed labeling applications where strength and calliper control are important and complies with CFR 175.105 recommendations for indirect contact when used in food packaging.
Baker Self Adhesive Materials is an official HP Indigo treatment center. It is also an appointed distribution center for 3M, Fasson, Madico, Arjobex and Tyvek. Its affiliate, Baker Self Adhesive Label, prints and converts labels using flexography, letterpress or digital printing technology and also offers screen and wide format digital print capability.
