Flint Group Narrow Web to introduce new inks at Labelexpo
Flint Group will introduce a number of new products and developments at Labelexpo Europe in Brussels in September.
The company will launch Flexocure Force – a new ink which is claimed to offer improved handing due to its lower viscosity and no foaming, as well as greater adhesion to a wide range of substrates.
Visitors to stand 5B45 can also view a new Flexocure XS opaque white ink for shrink sleeve printing, with improved slip characteristics, and the latest upgrade of CombiWhite. Niklas Olsson, Flint Group Narrow Web global brand manager, said: 'We have many new powerful solutions we think can be of interest to the market, so we want to test this idea, like for example an anti-bacterial UV varnish. We will be launch UV curable primers that can offer cost advantages that could replace pre top coated synthetic substrates, just to name a few.'
He continued: 'Naturally we close the loop by getting these parameters verified and controlled by the same clients by offering them BETA test opportunities prior to the commercialization of any of these products. With regards to results from the BETA test of Flexocure Force, we did get an overwhelmingly positive response with literally 100 percent of the customer feedback reporting clear improved properties from printability and adhesion to press performance.'
Converters will also learn more about how Flint Group Narrow Web can educate them on how to achieve award-winning quality in narrow-web printing. 'Around 50 percent of the prize winners at the special Judges Awards in this year's FINAT competition were printed with inks from Flint Group,' said Niklas Olsson, Flint Group Narrow Web global brand manager.
The company's portfolio of narrow web inks spans a wide range of decorative applications, from self-adhesive, wrap-around, and in-mold labels to sleeves, flexible packaging and folding cartons.
