Iimak introduces resin ribbon for chemical applications
Iimak, a manufacturer of thermal transfer ribbons, has introduced SP990, a resin ribbon for tough on-demand labeling applications.
SP990 is formulated to resist the harshest chemicals including xylene and toluene. Its performance can be attributed to a proprietary acrylic in the chemistry which strongly anchors the thermal transfer image to the substrate. In addition, it features maximum heat and abrasion resistance. SP990 is suited to print on a variety of topcoated and print treated polyesters, including labels and overlaminations.
