BST eltromat takes majority stake in Nyquist Systems

BST eltromat International has increased its stake in Nyquist Systems to give it majority ownership of the inspection technology specialist.

BST eltromat takes majority stake in Nyquist Systems

Through its parent company elexis AG, BS eltromat now holds a majority interest, building on its first investment in Nyquist Systems at the beginning of 2018.

BST eltromat has been distributing TubeScan inspection systems from Nyquist Systems worldwide for five years as part of an exclusive partnership. These systems are said to complement BST eltromat's offering in the areas of 100 percent inspection and web monitoring in the narrow web market. Nyquist Systems, in turn, benefits from BST eltromat's high profile and the company's global sales and service network. This allows customer projects to be implemented quickly. The shared success of the two companies is reflected in the figures, such as reaching the landmark of 1000 TubeScan systems sold.

BST eltromat managing director Kristian Jünke explained: ‘The acquisition of the majority stake in Nyquist Systems was a strategic decision. BST eltromat is now integrated into the future developments of Nyquist Systems and can thus optimally adapt the shared solution portfolio to the requirements of label and packaging printing.

‘The comprehensive practical experience that BST eltromat has acquired over the last few decades in the area of print inspection is now being added directly to the specialist knowledge of Nyquist Systems in the narrow web market. In combination with our other products, this results in added value based on factors such as digital networking, and helps our customers make the best possible use of their value chain.’

Dr Stephan Krebs, managing director at Nyquist Systems, added: ‘With BST eltromat behind it, Nyquist Systems has more power than ever before in regard to developing new innovative features and products. For this reason alone, the acquisition of the majority stake by BST eltromat is good news for our shared customers. It gives them the long-term assurance that, in BST eltromat and Nyquist Systems, they have stable partners they can rely on.’

At ICE Europe 2019, the BST ProControl subsidiary of BST eltromat introduced the PC16S-wave RS reflection sensor for precisely measuring coating thickness on metallic substrates.
