Charter NEX has six manufacturing sites across North America, with a seventh currently under construction in Blythewood, South Carolina. It specializes in blown and cast film extrusion, whether mono-layer, multi-layer, barrier or a specialty film.

Located in Cincinnati, Ohio, Haney is a packaging microfactory, designed to connect innovation with the accelerated production of small batch, consumer usable product samples for retail and e-commerce programs. Its Via Alliance program is a brand package program intended to provide ‘access, options, inspiration and intelligence’ for accelerated brand packaging initiatives. Via was launched in 2015 as a compliment to Haney’s prototyping, sales sample and e-commerce capabilities, and intended to connect brands to raw materials suppliers. The intent of the program was to enable brands to explore new print effects and finishes, materials and technologies that ‘inspire disruptive, out-of-the-box brand packaging solutions’.

Haney has identified Charter NEX’s focus on films as adding depth to its Via Alliance program.

Dan Haney, co-founder and president of Haney, explained: ‘Charter NEX is an innovative company that provides high-performance flexible packaging films to numerous, top-of-mind CPG brands. Charter NEX, Haney and our other Via Alliance supply chain partners offer a one-of-a-kind package development platform that connects, inspires and accelerates breakthrough solutions for today’s fast-moving CPG companies.

‘We look forward to infusing Charter NEX films into our clients’ upstream brand package initiatives, and are excited about its can-do attitude and willingness to develop custom solutions for our fast-moving, go-to-market initiatives.’

David Bartish, business development manager at Charter NEX Films, added: ‘We love the concept of the Via program. Being able to work with the end users during the development process allows Charter NEX to customize solutions to meet the performance needs for any given application.’

‘As a technical team, we take pride in bringing a solution to any problem or application that is brought to us,’ continued James Rosenberger, lead technical engineer at Charter NEX. ‘With a technical team of over 20 engineers, many of which bring experience across the industry, we can find answers to most any problem.’
