Focus Label Machinery provides expert print training to RotoMetrics staff

Expert print technicians from Focus demonstrated conventional and hybrid printing using three presses installed in the showroom – Proflex, eFlex and dFlex. These were used to demonstrate the print process, from unwind to rewind.

The Focus dFlex hybrid press was shown first, with a detailed explanation of inkjet technology and the many benefits of this to a label printer. Attention then turned to the conventional flexo presses – Proflex and eFlex –, where the RotoMetrics staff were taken through each section of the press, discussing the purpose and function of each part. The session was rounded off by covering the stage where RotoMetrics technology comes into play, the die-cutting, so the delegates could see exactly where the products they provide sit within the process for their customers.

Antony Cotton, sales manager at Focus Label Machinery, said: ‘We are always pleased to welcome partners and customers, new and old, to our factory and showroom. We have experienced staff who are passionate about what they do and love to showcase our facility and the products we manufacture. We are particularly keen to develop the relationships with world class partners, such as RotoMetrics, and share our knowledge to create long-lasting partnerships.’

The training day was designed to give the delegates more appreciation of how RotoMetrics’ customers operate, allowing them to be served more effectively.

Paul Ford, sales manager at RotoMetrics, commented: ‘It was much appreciated and I think we all learnt something new from it. Our thanks go to Colin [Ellison, print technician at Focus Label Machinery] for an interesting and informative day. You made us all feel welcome and it’s a genuine pleasure to work with people who appreciate the value in relationships and expanding each other’s knowledge base.’
