Labelexpo Southeast Asia will debuted at BITEC in Bangkok on May 10-12

Conference sessions on May 10-11 are to cover a range of topics of interest to label and packaging printers, brand owners and designers operating in the region.

The keynote will be delivered by Brenton Barrett, Asia-Pacific president at Multi-Color Corporation, who will look at regional trends and growth opportunities. The Shrink Sleeve Technology Workshop takes place on Saturday, May 12 and will be moderated by Andy Thomas-Emans, Labelexpo strategic director. Topics to be covered include design and origination, inks, substrates, and converting and application technology. The workshop ends with a presentation on quality control and fault finding by Dr Séamus Lafferty, Accraply president. Accraply is a Barry-Wehmiller company.

The conference sessions are free to attend and will be in English with simultaneous Thai translation. The Shrink Sleeve Technology Workshop will only be in English and costs US$250, with seats limited to 30.

Lisa Milburn, Labelexpo Global Series managing director, said: ‘Education is one of the significant drivers of growth in the label and package printing industry. The topics in the conference and workshop have been specifically chosen based on printer feedback in Southeast Asia and we are pleased to include so many top speakers from around the world.
