Lecta secures OHSAS 18001 multi-site certification status

Lecta has earned OHSAS 18001 multi-site certification status as it prepares to adapt to the new ISO 45001 standard.

OHSAS 18001 multi-site certification acknowledges the effort made by all Lecta employees as well as highlighting the importance that Lecta places on the prevention of occupational risks and good practices in the workplace

OHSAS 18001 is a widely used and internationally accepted standard for occupational health and safety.

Lecta had already obtained individual OSHAS 18001 certification for all its mills, warehouses and offices. Multi-site status entails working under a common management system at all Lecta sites, consistently meeting the requirements set by the standard as a whole. The company’s headquarters will establish the guidelines and make any corrections needed to achieve this goal.

OHSAS 18001 multi-site certification acknowledges the effort made by all Lecta employees as well as highlighting the importance that Lecta places on the prevention of occupational risks and good practices in the workplace.

‘This multi-site occupational health and safety certification enables Lecta to reassert its position as a responsible company ready to respond to the most demanding markets, in keeping with its policy of transparency towards its customers, employees and other stakeholders,’ the company stated.

Following the recent publication of the new ISO 45001 standard, which will replace the OHSAS 18001 standard in three years, Lecta has begun the adaptation process with the goal of working to the new standard as of next year.
