The relocation follows growth that has seen sales more than double in the last two years, largely due to a healthy export market. Of sales, some 98 percent are being exported to 20 countries around the world.

Meteor’s new facilities at Harston Mill feature purpose-built laboratories for developing, testing and demonstrating electronics, software and components. The company is also expanding its teams in China, Japan and the US. It continues to actively recruit.

Meteor Inkjet managing director Clive Ayling said: ‘We were getting very tight on office, lab and stockroom space at our previous location, and we lacked sufficient room to host an increasing number of customer visits.’

Meteor Inkjet supplies robust, reliable electronics and software to printer OEMs and print system builders world-wide. Meteor Inkjet works closely with all major printhead manufacturers, including Fujifilm Dimatix, Konica Minolta, Kyocera, Ricoh, Seiko Instruments, Toshiba TEC and Xaar.

It is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Global Graphics, having been acquired from TTP Group in late 2016. Global Graphics is a developer of platforms for digital inkjet printing and type design, supplying technology globally to leading manufacturing brands such as HP, Canon, Ricoh, Mercedes Benz and Siemens.

Ayling added: ‘In many respects our expansion marks a new beginning as we move out of the premises where the company was founded by TTP Group 12 years ago into a space that we’ve designed to suit our specific requirements.’
