The company, headquartered in Athens, was founded in 1983 and has set its focus on self-adhesive labels, shrink sleeves and flexible materials. In order to broaden its spectrum, George Ekonomou, sales director at ETPA Packaging, chose to invest in the Gallus ECS 340. This machine consists of nine flexo printing stations and four screen printing modules. It is further equipped with a cold foil unit as well as the possibility of backside printing on glue, UV lamination for monofoil material and PS lamination.

ETPA Packaging is nearly twice as big as comparable companies in Greece, and is the only Greek company which is certified as worldwide supplier for well-known multinational companies. The company is always investing in new technologies and new productive machines, and Gallus said it has a big influence on the Greek market when making investment decisions.

Since the press was installed in March last year, ETPA Packaging has been running jobs for labels, sleeves and sachets on the ECS 340.

Ekonomou is particularly convinced of the machine because, ‘it offers us incomparable flexibility, especially when printing silk screen jobs.

‘This is the first Gallus we have bought, but we are more than happy to have invested in a Swiss quality product. The machine’s versatility is astonishing and the labels, the most important factor, of course, are of impressive quality.’
