This includes a fully loaded flexo printing press, Prati Sun TE 330 slitting machine with Nikka 4k color inspection camera, anilox library and international certifications to cater to multinational companies entering the Indian market. The Prati machine has been installed by its exclusive distributor in India, Royal Coat.

The new Prati finishing equipment will support the increased volume production with 330mm web width, inspection speed of 160m/min and mechanical speed of 350m/min. Sunil Talpade, properietor at Royal Coat, said: ‘The Sun TE330 enables winding, inspection, slitting and rewinding of a wide range of applications, including pressure sensitive labels, unsupported paper, cardboard and plastic substrates. We are delighted with the first installation of Prati slitting and inspection machine at J K Fine Prints and are confident that it will deliver high quality finishing and exceed their expectations.’

This expansion is in-line with the company’s ten years investment strategy as discussed here. Himanshu Kapur, one of the three directors at J K Fine Print, said: ‘We have been growing as we planned and have doubled our volume since 2014. We will further see 100 percent growth in volume in the next three years after the installation of new equipment. On the existing two presses, we are currently printing 350,000 sqm every month and target to take this to 600,000 sqm in the next three years.’

With growth in the Indian economy, J K Fine Prints is concentrating on serving the domestic market, with little export to Africa and the UAE. ‘We have increased our focus on security labels in pharmaceutical and automobile industries as we see increasing demand and growth in this industry segment,’ said Kapur.

J K Fine Prints grew by 16 percent in 2017-18 financial year and expects higher growth in the current fiscal.
