The company installed its first Gallus press in 2001, an EM 280 which marked Areal’s entry into label production, and which is still running today.

‘We have had a very good business relationship with Heidelberg CIS for many years now,’ said Igor Rushinov, CEO of the printing house. ‘We know that we can count on the support of Heidelberg CIS if there are any questions about the machine,’ added director of development Roman Prokhorov.

Areal estimates it is the leading label producer in the Saratov and Volga regions of Russia. Orders for self-adhesive labels grew by nine percent in the first six months of 2018 compared to the previous year.

For the first half of the year 2018 the number of orders for self-adhesive labels grew by 9% in comparison to the year before. Some 90 percent of its customers are producers of food from the central and north-western regions of Russia.

‘Today we can tell confidentially that the Gallus Labelmaster has met our expectations. It is faster, more convenient and more practical than other machines. The productivity has doubled and also other indicators considerably improved,’ Roman Prokhorov said.

Areal celebrated its 20thanniversary in April 2018. The three Gallus presses are installed in a 17,000sqm facility.
