ITC Rejects IIMAK Anti-Dumping Petition
The International Trade Commission (ITC) has ended its investigations into IIMAK’s allegations of dumping by overseas thermal transfer ribbon suppliers into the US market. All six ITC Commissioners voted unanimously against the IIMAK petition in favor of ARMOR and the other respondents. As a result, no antidumping orders will be issued on imports of certain wax and wax/resin thermal transfer ribbon (TTR) and no additional import duties will be charged.
Chris Walker, vice president and general manager, ARMOR USA, commented: ‘The effect of the antidumping petition filed by IIMAK on the ARMOR Group was that we experienced a long and challenging period defending our legitimate role and right to participate in the U.S. market place as a global manufacturer of TTR.’
