East Yorkshire, UK-based AB Graphic International Ltd has announced the supply of an Omega SR 410 slitter/rewinder with rotary die cutting to J.R. Labels, Dublin. J. R. Labels specializes in manufacturing plain and printed self adhesive labels in various formats from plain white up to six color print on wide variety of materials as well as providing a confidential printed roll label service.

David Lesware, production director, said: ‘We purchased the Omega SR 410 to convert standard white labels so they now go from unwind completely processed through to the rewind. Before it was a two-step process and we have now basically cut our production time in half.’

The Omega SR 410 is a sixteen inch converting machine that unwinds, die-cuts and rewinds in one pass at high speed. Previously JR Labels had to make the labels on in-line printing presses and then move them to a separate slitter. The Omega SR 410 machines are designed for ease of operation and PLC controlled to provide a high degree of reliability and flexibility. The PLC controller incorporates ‘Human Machine Interface’ from AB Graphic International for new job set-up data entry.
