Actega Coatings and Sealants, a division of Altana, is combining the operations of two of its divisions, Actega WIT and Actega Radcure. Actega WIT, formerly Water Ink Technologies, is a producer of water-based and UV flexo inks and coatings. Radcure provides UV specialty coatings and adhesives for a variety of converting applications. Actega WIT, based in Lincolnton, North Carolina, maintains three production facilities in North Carolina and nine branches throughout the United States and Canada. Actega Radcure has its headquarters and production facility in Wayne, New Jersey.

Pat Hague, Actega WIT’s VP of sales, said: ‘The integration of WIT and Radcure creates a dynamic organization with a broad range of products for printers and converters. It will provide enhanced levels of service with an experienced technical group focused on technical support and market driven innovation in inks, coatings and adhesives.’

The combined operations will be called Actega WIT and it is anticipated that the combination of the two divisions should be completed by the end of the year.
