AKL Flexo Technik appoints Chromos as Swiss distributor

AKL Flexo Technik, supplier of sleeve systems and consumable products for the flexo industry, has appointed Chromos AG as its distributor for Switzerland.

Founded in 1947, the Chromos Group has built up a successful track record in representing the interests of printing, converting, packaging, coding and label industry players in the country. With its experienced technical oriented sales personnel, Chromos will aim to offer AKL’s Flexo Technik’s customers fast, professional and local application support.

‘Chromos’ professional approach and great understanding of the flexo printer’s needs will help us greatly to maintain the high levels of service to our Swiss customer base. As a result, we are looking forward to a long and successful partnership,’ commented Bernd Rckert, AKL Flexo Technik’s European sales account manager.

AKL, headquartered Warburg, Nordrhein Westfalen, Germany, specializes in printing sleeve systems digital and conventional printing forme applications. Products include the OptiFLEX photopolymer-covered seamless thin sleeve system, offering high-quality print reproduction at fast speeds. Other solutions include hard and compressible (‘cushion’) mounting sleeves, bridge sleeves, anilox sleeves and inline washing adapters.

Already established in the mid-web markets, AKL is experiencing increasing success in the narrow web industry, where major press makers have begun offering integrated sleeve-compatible printing technology.

The Switzerland-based Chromos AG represents a number of well-known companies active at virtually all stages of the digital and conventional printing, converting and packaging process. These include materials suppliers such as Siegwerk Ink, Toppan, Bostik, Asahi; Jet Europe, Zeller & Gmelin and Fujifilm, as well as printing press manufacturers such as HP Indigo, Gidue and Codimag, to name just a few.
