Alwan Color Expertise’s attendance at its first-ever drupa enabled the company to realize a record sales month. Compared to June 2007, the French software supplier has generated a significant increase in direct sales, mostly attributable to on-floor sales of 35 systems. Its flagship product CMYK Optimizer ECO, which includes the unique Dynamic Black technology, accounted for 19 show sales.

With several hundred interested printing and publishing professionals visiting its booth, located in the Drupa Innovation Parc, Alwan conducted over 300 demonstrations. At one point, the company received a delegation of more than 40 from China, which was accommodated with a personalized demo in Chinese. This visit was organized by Workflow Integrator, Alwan’s Chinese distributor from Hong-Kong.

The show also generated new networking opportunities. As a result of the show, Alwan has announced three new international distribution agreements, including pacts with Wifac (The Netherlands), Act-IT (Denmark) and Gamut (Australia). Since the beginning of 2007, the Alwan network of sales partners has grown from 14 to more than 40 worldwide.

At drupa, Alwan presented its full range of CMYK Optimizer software. Product demonstrations highlighted technical strengths, such as preflight features, problem-free printing of documents and advertisements, dynamic analysis and calculation of optimal total area coverage (TAC) of ink, Dynamic DeviceLink profiles building and XML reporting.
